Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is considered a difficult & challenging one, due to its remote location, high altitude, and rugged terrain. The trek involves steep ascents and descents, crossing several high mountain passes, and trekking through remote valleys & forests.
The highest point during Kanchenjunga north base camp trek is at Pang Pema, 4785 meters. Whereas the Kanchenjunga south base camp trek’s highest point is 4160 meters. Compared to South Base Camp, North Base Camp is a difficult and challenging one.
The trek requires a high level of fitness and endurance, as trekkers will need to walk for several hours each day at high altitudes. Altitude sickness is also a concern on this trek due to the high elevation.
