Our journey begins in Kathmandu, a vibrant city rich in spiritual and cultural heritage. After familiarizing ourselves with the city’s historical and sacred sites, we travel to Pokhara, a peaceful town nestled between Lake Phewa and the Annapurna range. It’s the perfect place to relax and prepare for the trek ahead.
As we make our way through the Mardi Himal trail, we traverse lush valleys, clear streams, and ancient forests. Guided by Ranjita Lama, a seasoned trek leader and yoga instructor, we start and end each day with yoga and meditation, anchoring our movement in mindfulness. This holistic approach encourages us to be fully present, embracing the serenity of the Himalayas.
One of the most enchanting parts of the journey is trekking through vibrant rhododendron forests during the spring bloom—an unforgettable sight of hills painted in dazzling colors. The trek reaches its peak at Mardi Himal Viewpoint (4,300 m), offering spectacular views of the snow-covered Annapurna range.
Throughout the trek, we incorporate breathing exercises and moments of stillness to deepen our appreciation of the natural world. Each pause becomes a chance to enjoy local herbal tea and soak in the peace of the mountains.
